Following on the wings of Marc Jacobs Dot, a sophisticated fragrance in a playful bottle that brings bright red ladybugs to mind—and which just flew away with the 2013 Fragrance Foundation Award for Fragrance of the Year-Women’s Prestige—comes the renowned designer’s new launch: Marc Jacobs Honey ($92). This time Jacobs has mixed striking stripes with his lighthearted polka dots for a glass bubble-like bottle and cap that seem to serve as perches for yellow-and-black striped butterflies. The glass also reveals the golden hue of the Firmenich fragrance, which is described as “a sunny, enticing floral—happy and energetic.” Shimmering pearls add radiance at the center of each “insect” and the signature logo and gold coil-wrapped collar add an elegant touch. A graphic butterfly icon alights on the dotted outer carton for a finishing touch.
